Brad Clever Wins “Benjamin Art Gallery Artist of the Year” Award

On April 7, 2006, Benjamin Art Gallery, LLC honored local artist Brad Clever from Chambersburg, PA with the “Benjamin Art Gallery Artist of the Year” award.  Brad creates photorealistic paintings depicting vintage antique collectibles, world class wines, and interesting objects into a creative composition using oil, watercolor, gouache, and airbrushing techniques.  This award was extended to Brad because of his impeccable sense of artistic composition, capability, and creativity.  We value his adventuresome spirit in pursuing new subject matter and perspectives, his passion for detail and perfectionism, and his high level of quality.

Brad Clever, from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, received his Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Virginia Commonwealth University majoring in Communication Arts and Graphics Design.  For 32 years, Brad was employed as the Art Director for The Beistle Company (a maker of seasonal paper decorations) but retired in 2001.  His works show a photographic style of realism with the use of watercolor, gouache, oil, or airbrushing techniques.  He was featured on the cover and lead story in the American Artist magazine in April 1992.  Additionally, his works have been collected by famous persons, such as Ryan Seacrest.
