“On Time – Walnut Lane” is Rebecca’s third painting of Hagerstown and provides a historic view looking south on Walnut Street (formerly Walnut Lane). This winter scene features the number 42 steam engine arriving at the Cumberland Valley Railroad Station, which was torn down in 1967. Saint Mary Catholic Church stands proudly in the background and the brick row houses, that no longer exist today.
Benjamin Art Gallery is pleased to announce that Saint Mary Catholic School will become the beneficiary of a portion of the proceeds from each print sold before March 1, 2007. The coordinator from Saint Mary Catholic School is Mary Heizer. The gallery continues in its effort in teaming with non profit organizations to bring the best art to the community.
